  • Pakistan's armed forces have been strengthened in response to the threat.
  • Tensions between the countries have increased following a terrorist attack in Kashmir.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan's Minister of Defense, has reported a possible act of aggression from India. Authorities in Islamabad anticipate an invasion shortly due to rising tensions following a terrorist attack in Kashmir.

The Pakistani military is preparing for possible aggression. "We have reinforced our forces," Asif said in an interview with Reuters, "because it is something which is imminent now. So in that situation, some strategic decisions have to be taken, so those decisions have been taken."

Increased tensions between India and Pakistan

Minister Asif emphasized that India's rhetoric towards Pakistan is becoming increasingly aggressive. Authorities in New Delhi blame Islamabad for the recent attack in Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed. This accusation further exacerbates the situation between the two countries.

On Friday, there was an exchange of fire between the armies of both countries along the border in Kashmir. In some places along the Line of Control, there have been incidents involving small arms, reported NDTV. Fortunately, so far, there are no reports of civilian casualties.

The situation on the India-Pakistan border remains tense. Both countries must take steps to prevent the conflict from escalating, which could have serious consequences for the region.
