Painting palette cookies have become a hit in my home. They will be the same for you
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 7 ounces of chocolate M&M’s candies
- 3 salty pretzel sticks
Instructions:
Step 1: Combine the dry ingredients for the cookie dough in a large bowl; mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, cream butter with sugar. Then, add the egg and vanilla extract. Combine this mixture with the dry ingredients to create a uniform and smooth dough.
Step 3: Divide the dough into smaller pieces, forming small balls. Place each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and gently flatten them with your hand.
Step 4: Use a drinking straw to make a small hole and create an additional indentation on the outer side of each piece. This will make each cookie look like an actual painting palette.
Step 5: Add colorful candies to each cookie to give them a splash of color. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 350°F for 12 minutes.
Step 6: Place a piece of salty pretzel on each palette cookie as a painting brush before serving. And that’s it—enjoy!
