How do you make a unique car even more exceptional? Just create an open version. Pagani utilized this tried-and-true formula to create the Utopia Roadster, and the result is truly impressive.
Most visual and technical elements are the same as the coupe. Both versions weigh the same—about 2800 pounds. This is thanks to the monocoque made from a blend of carbon fiber and titanium, which does not lose rigidity even after removing the roof.
Like the coupe, the Utopia Roadster is powered by a 6-liter V12 signed by AMG. This magnificent engine generates 864 hp and 819 lb-ft of maximum torque, which is exclusively transmitted to the rear axle via an electromechanical differential.
The top speed is an impressive 217 mph—just 2 mph less than the coupe's. That's a fair price to pay to enjoy the wind in your hair. Less enticing is the price you'll have to pay for the car itself.
The Utopia Roadster will make its debut during Monterey Car Week. According to the announcements, only 130 units will be produced, each costing a minimum of $3.4 million.
