Massive Russian attack on Ukraine

Overnight from May 24 to 25, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine using drones and missiles. These attacks targeted various regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and Kharkiv, causing explosions and damaging buildings.

Poland scrambled fighter jets

In response to the large-scale Russian attack, Poland scrambled fighter jets to secure its airspace. The Operational Command of the Armed Forces issued a statement regarding the commencement of operations by Polish and allied aviation.

Blunder of Portuguese services

Portugal granted citizenship to a Russian spy who pretended to be the son of a Portuguese citizen. The man arrived there in 2018 with his wife from Brazil, according to an investigation by Portuguese security services cited on Saturday by the Lisbon weekly "Sol."

Bear attack in Slovakia

A female bear with cubs attacked a 49-year-old man in the village of Suczany in Slovakia. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries. A special forestry team with a thermal imaging drone was deployed to monitor the area.

Tragic accident in Colombia

At least 10 people died on Saturday when the bus they were traveling in crashed through a bridge barrier and fell into a river in western Colombia. The victims were students. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus, as reported by Humboldt University in the town of Armenia, was carrying 22 students, two lecturers, and a security officer on a field trip.

Dozens killed in Nigeria

At least dozens of people were killed in attacks, presumably by jihadist gangs, in northeastern Nigeria, according to the governor of Taraba state on Saturday. The criminals, suspected of being members of jihadist gangs, attacked villages, killing and abducting residents and demanding ransom for their release.
