Outrage erupts as Kremlin ally calls for soldier's execution

"Can we just shoot him, the conscript? Simply take this scum out and execute him in front of everyone like a traitor to the motherland," declared Vladimir Solovyov on air during his broadcast on Rossiya1.

Z-bloggers outraged by the propagandist's words

Z-bloggers are Russian internet creators who support Russia’s war against Ukraine and endorse the Kremlin’s stance. Their name comes from the letter "Z", which has become a symbol of the invasion—painted on Russian military vehicles, among other things.

This issue stems from a recording made on Sunday by a Russian conscript. The young soldier not only showed his face but also captured the aftermath of the Ukrainian drone attack on the airport, revealing several burning machines. The man was swearing.

His actions sparked outrage among Russian military bloggers. "This trash**** just lost it again. From impunity," wrote the "Romanov Light" channel.

Another Z-blogger commented: "And why is no one holding those responsible in the Ministry of Defense for educational and political work accountable? So this teenager, who wet his pants in fear and grabbed the phone because he was brought up in civilian life under a modern ideology, we are to shoot, and those who were supposed to instill military discipline and the army’s new ideology in him—reward? Who was supposed to turn this TikTok and consumption-raised boy into a defender of the motherland with a sense of responsibility?" replied Z-blogger Roman Alekhin to Solovyov.

Operation "Web": Kremlin is silent

The Security Service of Ukraine targeted airbases on Sunday, where Russian strategic aviation was stationed. In the framework of Operation "Web," 41 machines were destroyed, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3, and Tu-160 aircraft. Experts believe the Ukrainian raid was "the most impressive and effective operation of the entire war."

Vladimir Putin has been silent for over a day following a series of incidents in Russia—first with the destruction of railway bridges in the Bryansk and Kursk regions, and then the unprecedented strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on bases of Russian strategic aviation.
