The Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, was unique in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The attackers killed more than 1400 people, primarily defenseless civilians, including women and children. The death toll continues to rise, and Israel has vowed vengeance on the assailants.

Military forces were dispatched to the Gaza Strip, which is currently being bombed and incrementally tranquilized by IDF ground forces. This situation instigates a nightmare for the civilian population of Palestine, whom the terrorists attempt to blend amongst. Soldiers are in search of civilians abducted by Hamas and almost every day we hear about their further fate.

Oren Goldin was one of the victims of Hamas. His family - wife Oshrit and two-year-old twins Aviva and Ilaya - were anticipating his return. Everyone held onto the belief that the 33-year-old was kidnapped by terrorists on October 7 and isolated somewhere in the Gaza Strip. They hoped that he had survived the assault. The truth turned out to be different.

The IDF obtained evidence confirming that the man was killed in the early hours of the terrorist attack, but rather than repatriate his body, they decided to keep it. Why? Likely in hopes of obtaining a hefty ransom for the body. The army continues to comb the Gaza Strip, and once they locate the body, they will return it to the grieving family.

Meanwhile, the family awaits the chance to bury the 33-year-old and bid him one final farewell.

The nightmare for thousands of individuals in Israel and Palestine continues. IDF forces bombard the Gaza Strip with intense force, with scant regard for the lives of thousands of civilians. Over 11000 fatalities have been reported already. On the other side of the wall, 1400 civilian victims of the Hamas attack and 354 soldiers can be found. Some of them lost their lives at the onset of October, others during the combats.

The media in Israel report daily on the developments following the IDF's assault on Gaza, where various traps set by terrorists lurk. The damage is documented every day, but it's the price of the operation carried out by the armed forces. They aim at the total eradication of Hamas and pacification of the Gaza Strip.

Israelis also declare their intention to free the Palestinians themselves from the terrorists, who hide behind innocent civilians while attacking the IDF. There's evidence at every turn that terrorists built their installations and stored weapons in civilian homes, schools, mosques or even playgrounds.
