In recent months, Oprah has undergone a surprising transformation. The star now weighs 165 pounds, a significant drop from her previous weight, which was 20 kilograms (about 44 pounds) higher. As she explained, she attributes this weight change to the Weight Watchers diet.
This is a point-based diet, which categorizes food products into three groups, each having a set point value. The green group includes zero-point products such as certain fruits and vegetables. The yellow group represents two-point products, while the red group denotes products that need to be limited. Essentially, your daily menu should not exceed 20 points. Despite the diet, some fans accused the celebrity of using weight loss drugs, which she continually denied.
In an unexpected turn, Oprah decided to make a candid confession. In an interview with "People," the star admitted that she used a drug before Thanksgiving which helped her maintain her weight. However, she didn't reveal the name of the drug.
"I am using it now because I feel that I need it to avoid the yo-yo effect" - she revealed.
"The fact that there is a medically approved prescription for weight control and maintaining health for life brings me relief - redemption. It is a gift and not something that should be hidden or laughed at," - she added.
Despite these revelations, Oprah admitted that she has significantly changed her lifestyle and is committed to leading a more active life.
