On Wednesday, July 10, we learned the second finalist of Euro 2024. After the Spanish national team defeated France 2-1 and secured a spot in the decisive match, England joined them.

The Sons of Albion faced the Dutch national team in the semifinal match. Although their rivals scored the first goal, they managed to turn the game around. Harry Kane responded to Xavi Simons' goal by converting a penalty kick. Meanwhile, in added time, England's advancement was sealed by the substitute, Ollie Watkins.

This made the Aston Villa striker the hero for the English. It was only his second match in this year's European Championship in which he participated. Earlier, in the group stage, he came off the bench during the game against the Danish national team.

Watkins scored one of the most important goals of his career, and it happened in front of his girlfriend, Ellie Alderson. After the game ended, the 28-year-old appeared in the stands where his partner was seated, and there were affectionate moments. Alderson responded to the Englishman's feat right after the match.

"You deserve it!!!!!," she wrote after the game.
"This picture might be my favorite ever," she added to a photo of Watkins celebrating his goal.
