A rescue operation is ongoing at the scene. Authorities report that a rescue helicopter, several boats, a fixed-wing aircraft, and other units are involved in extinguishing the ongoing fire at sea.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution, an organization involved in water rescues in the UK and Ireland, states that many people evacuated the ships after the collision. According to information from the RNLI, both ships were engulfed in flames. Currently, there is no information about any injuries or potential casualties from this incident.

The other vessel is the container ship Solong, flying under the Portuguese flag. Stena Immaculate had sailed from the Greek port of Agioi Theodoroi and was anchored near Hull. Meanwhile, Solong was traveling from the Scottish port of Grangemouth to Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
