In his speech, Kim Jong Un urged the development of "political and military strength." He also advocated for achieving "combat efficiency" that would enable the waging of war.
The dictator also spoke about the "threats from the United States and their allies." He described the US support for Seoul and Tokyo as an "Asian NATO," which he believes exacerbates tensions.
At the same time, Kim Jong Un assessed that relations with South Korea are so poor that they have led to the "greatest tension in history." According to him, the Korean Peninsula has thus become the "greatest flashpoint in the world."
Cooperation with Russia is tightening
Reuters recently reported that military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is intensifying. Over 10,000 North Korean soldiers were reportedly dispatched to fight Ukrainians, with some having already participated in clashes in the Kursk region.
Recently, a Russian delegation led by Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov arrived in Pyongyang for trade talks. This visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Last week, Kim Jong Un supervised a test of kamikaze drones and ordered their mass production. The dictator emphasized the "intensifying competition in this field worldwide."
