Kim Yo Jong's warning suggests that North Korea is likely to intensify its weapons tests and maintain its confrontational stance towards the United States.

Although President Donald Trump has expressed a willingness to resume diplomatic dialogue with North Korea, Kim Yo Jong's warning indicates that Pyongyang does not intend to soften its position and may continue its weapons tests.

Kim Yo Jong accuses the US

In a statement conveyed by North Korean state media, Kim Yo Jong accused the United States of displaying "the greatest hostility and confrontational stance" towards North Korea by deploying the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and other powerful military units, as well as conducting joint maneuvers with South Korea this year.

The DPRK is also planning to carefully examine the option for increasing the actions threatening the security of the enemy at the strategic level to cope with the fact that the deployment of U.S. strategic assets in the Korean Peninsula has become a vicious habit and adversely affects the security of the DPRK, she stated, using the abbreviation for her country's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

According to observers, her words may foreshadow tests of powerful missiles capable of striking the continental United States or American military bases in the region.
