North Korean troops mistakenly fire on Russian allies in Kursk
A Russian prisoner of war in Ukrainian custody revealed how North Korean soldiers behave. He said that they mistakenly opened fire on their allies because, to them, "all Slavs look the same." This excerpt from an interrogation was published on Telegram by Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyj.
According to the Belsat.eu portal, surprising stories about North Korean soldiers were shared by a Russian captive who is currently held by Ukraine.
The Russian mentioned at least one incident where North Korean soldiers mistakenly fired on their allies in the Kursk region, near Hlushkovo. His testimony was shared by a Ukrainian journalist.
There is no talking to them. They started shooting at us, maybe in panic, because they mistook us for the enemy. For them, all Slavs look the same, says the Russian prisoner in the recording.
The Russian directly expresses his frustration with such allies. He discusses the scandal that could arise if a North Korean soldier were to be killed.
He emphasizes that the Russian command does not respond to complaints, and that due to language barriers, it's easier for them to send Russian soldiers into assault.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing military intelligence data, reported yesterday about the arrival of 11,000 North Korean soldiers in Russia's Kursk region. According to Ukrainian intelligence, these are mainly light infantry soldiers for assault tasks.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, at least 28 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces were used to transfer them near the front.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department believes that Moscow has sent about 10,000 North Koreans to this region.
