North Korean troops in Europe: Zelensky urges action
- Ukraine will be forced to fight in Europe against soldiers from North Korea, - said President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday. He announced that the upcoming week would be a time of "very active work with partners to support Ukrainian soldiers on the front and develop a strategy to force Russia to end the war."

South Korean intelligence reported in recent days that Pyongyang sent about 3,000 soldiers to Russia's Far East, and by the end of the year, 10,000 are expected to be there. The USA and some EU countries, including Poland and the Netherlands, have confirmed these findings.
On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that North Korean soldiers would soon be involved in the fighting in the Kursk region in western Russia, where Ukrainian forces have been operating since August 6.
In response to these reports, in a Saturday speech, Zelensky called on allies to increase pressure on Russia and continue supporting Ukraine.
They will fight not only with Russians: Foreign troops are heading to the front
- Every day of the war shows that Moscow is determined to continue its aggression. They want nothing else. That's why they are trying to bypass sanctions to increase arms production, and that's why they have allied with North Korea, - said Zelensky.
- Within a few days, North Korean soldiers may find themselves on the battlefield. Ukraine will be forced to fight them in Europe - he added.
Zelensky emphasized that the lack of a decisive Western response to the appearance of more hostile troops on the European continent would only "encourage Putin to further invest in terror."
The world can stop the development of the war. Words are not enough; concrete steps are needed. We have written them down in the "victory plan" (…). We expect more pressure on Russia and more support for Ukraine, concluded the Ukrainian president.
