Assault near Kursk: Kim's soldiers defeated

On Thursday, soldiers from the 73rd Marine Special Operations Forces Center of Ukraine (SSO) reported that they repelled an assault by North Korean troops in the same location. At least 12 soldiers were killed, and another 20 were injured.

"During the enemy's attempted assault, the SSO operators opened fire with a stationary MK-19 automatic grenade launcher and conducted a series of drone drops," the unit's statement reads.

Russians "burn their faces"

Also on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in Brussels that there is no information about North Korean soldiers defecting to the Ukrainian side. He added, however, that bodies of Koreans are being found, even though the Russians do everything to prevent them from being identified. "The Russians are also trying to literally burn the faces of the killed North Korean soldiers," he stated.

Zelensky stated that individuals were discovered carrying documents from the Russian Federation, emphasizing that Russians go to extreme lengths, even burning faces, to prevent the identification of their soldiers. He noted that similar actions had been taken with their own fallen and mentioned that Ukraine is documenting these incidents by gathering photos and videos of the soldiers' bodies.
