Wafer rolls, some milk, sugar, and cream. That’s all you need to create a wonderful no-bake cake that your family will love. This type of cake is prevalent in the summer when outdoor temperatures hover around 77 or 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Not needing to use an oven and instead forming the cake with the help of a refrigerator becomes especially desirable during this period.
What else? Virtually nothing. The no-bake cake we will present does not require a large financial investment or advanced baking skills. Apart from a bit of patience while the cake is set in the refrigerator, you also don't need much time. This cake is made quickly, easily, and pleasantly. Doesn’t that sound great?
Wafer roll no-bake cake
Ingredients:
- 7 fl oz milk
- 2 tsp type 00 flour
- 1 egg
- 7 fl oz 30% cream
- 1 oz butter
- 2 oz sugar for the cream + 1 oz for the whipped cream
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 10.5 oz wafer rolls
- Almond flakes for decoration
Preparation:
- Crack an egg into a pot, and add the regular and vanilla sugar and flour. Start heating gently, and pour milk into these ingredients after a while.
- Add butter to the pot. When the mixture combines into a thick consistency, remove it from the heat. Pour the mixture into a bowl, cover with foil, and let it cool.
- Whip the cream and mix it with the now-cooled contents of the pot.
- Arrange the cake either in a mold or on parchment paper. Spread the parchment paper on the counter and spread some prepared cream. Place wafer rolls on top, add more cream, and continue layering until you use all the ingredients. Sprinkle the top with almond flakes or other crushed nuts.
- Wrap the cake in parchment paper and refrigerate for 5-6 hours. Then, it’s ready. Enjoy.
