Regarding simple and quick recipes, the no-bake cheesecake can be considered a true champion. Cream cheese, gelatin, and water are enough to create it. Does this mean the dessert we are discussing today is bland? Not at all. This playful twist on cheesecake has surprised many skeptics, including my household.
If you are looking for a recipe that will become a hit at home this summer, I highly recommend following the one below. The preparation is simple and takes only a few minutes. Of course, patience is needed afterward, as the no-bake cheesecake needs to chill in the fridge. It’s worth it when you see your family savor this sweet dessert. Special note for parents: kids love it too, so if you were looking for an alternative to homemade ice cream, you’ve found it. Good luck!
Summer dessert: creamy no-bake cheesecake
Ingredients:
- 4 packs of flavored gelatin
- 1.3 lb cream cheese
- 5 cups boiling water
Preparation:
- Dissolve two packs of gelatin (I used one orange and one strawberry) separately, each in 1.5 cups boiling water. Pour the gelatin into a mould and set it aside to cool.
- Dissolve the remaining gelatin packs (I used unflavored) together in roughly smaller cups of hot water, approximately 2 cups.
- Beat the cream cheese quickly and gradually add the still-liquid unflavored gelatin.
- Take out the orange and strawberry gelatin and cut them into smaller pieces. Add them to the cream cheese mixture. Mix and pour everything into a mould. Smooth the surface and put it in the fridge.
- After a few hours, take it out, and it’s ready to serve.
