Nikki Haley, who lost to Donald Trump in the race for the Republican Party nomination in the U.S. presidential election, sparked a scandal with her visit to Israel. The American politician wrote on an Israeli artillery shell, "Finish them!"

The former governor of South Carolina unequivocally expressed her support for Israel during a trip to the country's northern border with Lebanon. Notable figures, including Danny Danon, the former Israeli ambassador to the UN, accompanied her.

In a later statement to the media, Haley did not apologize. Still, she criticized Joe Biden for temporarily halting arms shipments to discourage an Israeli attack on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Haley also attacked the International Criminal Court (ICC), which is calling for the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"What America needs to understand is if Israel's fighting our enemies, how can we not help them." Haley said.

Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip

Meanwhile, the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip continues in the south. An Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp west of the city of Rafah in the town of Al-Mawasi, a designated humanitarian zone, resulted in 21 fatalities.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces announced that a special investigation will be conducted regarding Tuesday's airstrike. However, the army later issued a statement clarifying that "contrary to the reports from the last few hours, the IDF (Israel Defence Forces) did not strike in the Humanitarian Area in Al-Mawasi."

It is estimated that Israeli actions have so far resulted in the deaths of over 36,000 Palestinians, including approximately 15,000 children.
