A shooting in the New York subway results in one fatality and injures five others, reports Reuters.

The violent incident took place on the Bronx station platform and was triggered by a dispute between two groups of teenagers. One individual drew a gun leading to a fatal shooting. The initial shot was fired inside the subway car, yet all victims were shot on the platform. A 34-year-old man was killed, and five others were rushed to the hospital. Among the victims were four men and two women ranging in ages from 14 to 71.

Tarik Sheppard, NYPD's Deputy Commissioner for Public Information, addressed the shooter during a press conference saying, "Consider yourself the NYPD's most wanted and know that the world's best detectives are pursuing you. We advise you turn yourself in."

- We don’t believe this was a random shooting. We don’t believe this was just an individual shooting indiscriminately onto a train. We believe this shooting all stemmed from a dispute between two groups that started on a train - said police chief Michael Kemper during a press conference.
