New feature in Gmail app. Check your device and see the difference

Gmail introduces a novelty that will significantly increase the convenience of using the mobile application. However, it should be noted that it will not be applicable to most tablets. The new feature has been created with tablets and foldable phones in mind.

Gmail is introducing a new feature that will make using its mobile email app much more convenient. The innovation will not apply to everyone, as it is aimed at users of folding smartphones and tablets. These two groups of customers will certainly appreciate the new solution.

Google has taken action to improve the functioning of the Gmail application on screens in a horizontal position. When using this type of device, the application screen is split in half - the left side displays a list of messages, and when you click on one of them, its content appears on the right side of the screen.

As reported by the 9to5Google service, a new feature streamlines the opening of attachments and links sent via email. From now on, they will no longer open in Google Chrome in full-screen mode. Instead, the left part of the screen, which contains the inbox (message list), will be hidden.

The read message will then be moved to the left side of the screen. A browser will open on its right side, in which we can preview the sent link or attachment. This significantly increases the convenience of using devices with a larger screen, taking advantage of their structure.

The size of windows can be adjusted by moving their boundary. The feature is already available, though some users may have to wait a few days for it, as it is being rolled out to users worldwide.
