The name Christian Brückner still circulates the mysterious disappearance of Madeleine McCann. The man serving his sentence may also be responsible for distributing pedophilic content. Investigators are currently working to determine his connection to new evidence in the case.

The disappearance of Madeleine McCann and its circumstances create a story that even the most skilled thriller writers would find hard to match. It is bewildering that a little girl, left alone for a short while in a locked hotel room, vanished without a trace. Seventeen years later, the identity of the kidnapper remains officially unconfirmed.

All indications point to a German man, Christian Brückner, who was involved in the case. He is currently imprisoned, having been convicted of five sexual offenses committed between 2000 and 2017 against females aged 10 to 80. His sentence may be extended due to newly discovered evidence.

Will the suspect in the abduction of Madeleine McCann stay in prison longer?

The magazine "New York Post" reports that German police officers have accessed an email account used to distribute pornographic materials involving children. While details have not yet been disclosed, officials suggest a link between the correspondence and the incarcerated pedophile.

If Brückner's guilt can be proven, this would be the first evidence connecting him to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Titus Stampa, the detective working on the case, mentioned that he cannot disclose further information.

An external hard drive is also belonging to the killing case - and I am not allowed to talk about it, he said before the district court in Brunswick.

For several years, the 47-year-old pedophile has been the primary suspect in this case, but no charges have been formally brought against him yet. Christian Brückner is presently serving a sentence for the assault and rape of a 72-year-old American tourist who was vacationing in Portugal. If his guilt in the case of the abducted doctor's daughter cannot be proven, he will be released in 2026.
