Nevada and Arizona polls show tight races with Trump, Harris
CNN has published the results of a survey conducted in Nevada and Arizona—states where early voting is already underway. In Nevada, Trump was the winner, while Harris came out on top in Arizona. CNN predicts that the final results in these two states will be close to a tie.
In Nevada, Trump received 52% of the vote, while Harris received 46%. In Arizona, Trump got 44%, and Harris 53%.
The survey shows that in Nevada, 42% of voters have already cast their votes, and in Arizona, 55%. According to the forecast, the difference between the candidates will decrease each day, and by the end of voting, it will be just one percent. In Arizona, Harris is expected to win with a 48 to 47 percent margin, while in Nevada, Trump will prevail by the same margin.
The state university published a similar forecast for Arizona on Monday. Researchers indicate that the Democratic candidate has a slightly better chance of winning, although Republicans are more prevalent in Arizona.
Neck and neck: Poll from a key state
The stakes are high. Arizona is one of the key states—a victory there could secure as many as 11 electoral votes.
In 2020, Joe Biden won there by 0.2 percentage points. It was the first Democratic win in the state in a presidential election since Bill Clinton's time.
The elections in the United States will take place on Tuesday, November 5.
