Some movies can be watched multiple times, including productions from the "Jurassic Park" and "Jurassic World" series. When these films are shown on television again, they enjoy great popularity. The same holds on streaming platforms. "Jurassic World Dominion" has now become a hit on Netflix.

The "Jurassic Park" trilogy was produced from 1993 to 2001. Dinosaur enthusiasts had to wait 14 years for the second series. The first "Jurassic World" movie, released in 2015, was a gigantic success, earning 1.67 billion dollars at the box office. Three years later, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" earned 1.31 billion. "Jurassic World Dominion" hit theaters in 2022 and, even in the challenging post-pandemic period, grossed over a billion dollars.

Recently, we learned that Universal Pictures will not make viewers wait long for the next installment of the popular series and possibly a new series. A new dinosaur movie is set to be released in July 2025. Deadline reported that it will feature a completely new story with new characters.

Meanwhile, the latest film in the second series, "Jurassic World Dominion," has become a hit on Netflix. The movie features stars from "Jurassic World" (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) and the "Jurassic Park" trilogy (Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum).

Like any dinosaur movie, "Jurassic World Dominion" is enjoyable to watch, although it's hard to disagree with the opinion that the plot is painfully predictable and naive. The storyline is stretched to its limits and feels lengthy (the film could benefit from being shortened by a good half-hour).

The movie also has too many "mushrooms in the soup." It combines adventure action, blockbuster, family drama, naive science fiction, and thriller elements. All of this is served with nostalgia, typical of contemporary remakes where the old crew shares the stage with the new and aims to appeal to multiple generations of viewers.
