Rosemary and citrus infusion for a cold
Ingredients:
- A few sprigs of fresh rosemary
- A few to several cloves (they have an intense flavor and not everyone may prefer a larger quantity, so adjust the amount to your own taste)
- A lemon
- A lime
- A few slices of fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- About 4 cups of water
- Optional: a handful of cranberries
Instructions:
- It's really simple. First, prepare a container, such as a large jug or pot. Place the rosemary, cloves, sliced citrus, ginger, and cranberries (if using) inside.
- Pour boiling water over all the ingredients. Wait for the infusion to cool, then sweeten it with honey. This adds new nutritional properties and makes it slightly sweeter.
The infusion has another, less obvious benefit. It can also be used as an air freshener. If you don't enjoy the drink's taste, add more cloves for an unforgettable aroma.
