Ants are beneficial only when their colony doesn't nest next to our crops. The famous "pharaoh ant" can be a severe nuisance in apartment buildings. Here, we suggest measures to deter them effectively.

Ants play a significant and positive role. It's worth noting that their presence can deter ticks and aerate the soil. However, many of us have unpleasant memories associated with these insects. When they appear in large numbers in the garden, they can destroy plants and make life difficult. We are often forced to reduce their numbers significantly. Here’s how to remove them from your property and protect the fruits of your gardening labor.

One primary remedy for eliminating ants can be found in every kitchen. To deter them, all you need to do is use baking powder. Sprinkle a large amount of baking powder around the ant nest. Thanks to the bicarbonate of soda content, this substance acts as a deterrent to insects. Plain baking soda is just as effective.

Are ants destroying your plants? This can also be easily remedied. Mix baking powder or soda with water, pour the solution into a spray bottle, and spray the plants. We promise the insects will soon leave.

Ants in the apartment? It's an annoying problem but also solvable

Ants can become a severe problem when they invade an apartment. They often cause significant damage to houseplants. The critical step is to locate the ants' route and seal their entry points.

If that's impossible, try this method: wipe the areas where you saw ants with water and vinegar. This is not the only remedy that will indeed work on these creatures. Ants also hate essential oils, especially mint, lavender, and thyme.

If you don't have children, consider mixing borax with a cooked egg yolk. Ants will not only eat the bait but also take it back to the nest, ensuring you peace of mind for longer. This is one of the most effective ways to eliminate ants.

If the methods mentioned fail, many specialized store products can help us quickly eliminate ants. However, we should use them only when traditional approaches fail.
