The President of the United States, Donald Trump, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office to discuss important issues related to the role of the U.S. and Europe in ensuring peace following the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine.

During this event, commentators noted a large bruise on President Trump's right hand, which seemed to have been covered with makeup.

This led to speculation about the cause of the discoloration. Some commentators suggested it might be the result of intravenous fluids, while others thought it could be due to blood-thinning medications.

The White House explains

In response to growing questions, the White House addressed the matter. During a press conference, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "President Trump is a man of the people. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day."

- President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day - added Leavitt.

This isn't the first time bruises have been noticed on Trump's hands. Internet users also pointed them out in December 2024. The President did not comment on the matter.

Unlike former President Joe Biden, Trump does not release detailed health reports to the public.
