On Wednesday, the residents of Berlin anxiously looked up at the sky. Three mysterious circles had appeared, sparking a flurry of online activity as a recording of the sight quickly circulated. Conspiracy theories soon followed. However, "Bild" explained the rings.

Mysterious phenomena in the sky have always sparked interest. Often, they also cause concern, especially given the current tense international situation and the war just beyond our eastern border. This time, however, it is not the sky over Poland but over Germany, specifically Berlin. On Wednesday (July 3rd), mysterious, dark circles appeared in the sky.

Germany: Dark circles over Berlin caught on film

A recording showing three mysterious rings over Berlin made its way online. The video depicted the rings moving slowly, slightly upwards, and to the side. It quickly spread across the internet, generating significant intrigue. Many comments were posted, with various theories about the rings' origin, including extraterrestrial activity.

According to the German tabloid "Bild," the rings were seen over the districts of Wilhelmsruh and Rosenthal. Contrary to some theories, the smoke rings were not linked to UFOs but resulted from human activity.

The "Bild" journalists pointed out that such phenomena are not surprising. One Instagram user correctly noted that they could result from explosions in industrial processes. After an explosion, smoke or soot rings rise. This is especially common in industries related to fireworks and pyrotechnic materials.

Such rings can also be created by large machine exhausts. They consist of soot particles that form the ring's structure due to pressure and movement, explained one of the commentators.

Similar rings appear in many countries, from Russia and the USA to Argentina. They often cause concern among residents, although they are ultimately not dangerous to the surroundings.
