An explosion took place in a residential building in the northwestern part of Moscow, confirmed by the Russian agency TASS. The explosion led to one death and four injuries. Among the injured is Armen Sarkisyan, a high-ranking member of a pro-Russian paramilitary group from the Donetsk region in Ukraine. According to unofficial information, Sarkisyan lost his left leg and is in a coma as a result of the explosion.

Explosion in Moscow: What is known?

According to the Reuters agency, the explosion was caused by a bomb that detonated when a man accompanied by bodyguards was entering the building. The Russian agency Ria Novosti earlier reported it as an "unidentified device." Emergency services and officers from the Federal National Guard Service of Russia are working at the scene.

Telegram channels have released footage from the scene, showing the damage at the Alye Parusa residential complex. Despite the serious damage, there is no threat of the building collapsing.

The Moscow prosecutor's office is conducting the investigation into the explosion. Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on the incident. The Reuters agency noted that a similar incident occurred in December, when a bomb exploded outside a residential building in Moscow, killing Russian General Igor Kirillov. Ukraine claimed responsibility for organizing the attack at that time.
