Mysterious beach photos reveal surprising truth behind "aliens

"Foreigners," "unknown, mysterious sea monsters," "aliens," "spiders," and "extraterrestrials"—these are the terms internet users used to describe what Jan Vorster photographed on a beach in South Africa. No one realized what it was.

Internet users couldn't believe it when they found out what was really in the picture.

Although the photo was taken three years ago, it is still shared on social media and continues to make a significant impression whenever it is encountered.

Surprising effect in the photo

Jan Vorster captured a photo that caused a big stir on social media. It was taken at sunrise in Stilbaai, South Africa. The perspective and light made the photographed subject look like something entirely different. Internet users thought they were sea creatures or aliens entering the water.

Nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, the photos captured wilted aloe leaves. The man shared the photo to draw attention to environmental issues.

Internet users were scared

Most of those who saw the photos panicked. Some even reacted with anger, accusing the photographer of deliberately misleading them.

"How terrifying," "I might never go to the beach again," "This picture is terrifying!" - internet users wrote. "I guess I have to start watching out for aloes on the windowsill." "Attack of the killer aloes is coming soon to theaters!" - others joked.
