Musk slams Trump's trade advisor, demands tariff removal
Elon Musk sharply criticized Donald Trump's trade advisor, Peter Navarro, for implementing prohibitive tariffs. The billionaire called him "dumber than a sack of bricks." Musk is demanding the removal of tariffs between Europe and the USA, sparking controversy among economists.
Elon Musk, known for his controversial statements, this time focused his attention on Donald Trump's tariff policy. According to "The Washington Post," the billionaire expressed his dissatisfaction with the implementation of prohibitive tariffs, which he believes should be lifted between Europe and the USA.
Musk let loose
Musk did not hold back sharp words toward Peter Navarro, the trade advisor to the president, calling him "truly a moron."
Navarro, defending the tariff policy, stated in an interview with Fox News that there are no fears of a recession in the USA because planned tax cuts will stimulate the economy. On Sunday, he declared that the owner of Tesla does not understand the mechanisms by which other countries "cheat" the USA in trade matters.
Economists are sceptical
Navarro added that Musk does not manufacture cars but only assembles them from imported parts, which he claimed is an attempt to protect his own interests from tariffs.
However, many economists, including Larry Fink from BlackRock, express skepticism about these forecasts, fearing an increase in the budget deficit.
