We're talking about guinea fowl, a meat with an exceptionally delicate taste and rich nutritional value. Guinea fowl – a wealth of flavor and nutritional value

Guinea fowl has a unique taste, similar to game meat. It is tender, juicy, and full of nutritional benefits. It contains little fat yet is an excellent source of protein, B vitamins, iron, and zinc. This makes guinea fowl an ideal choice for those who care about a healthy diet and appreciate gourmet flavors.

Roasted guinea fowl – a recipe for an elegant dinner

Ingredients:

                        
  • 1 guinea fowl
  • 2.5 quarts of water
  • 5 tablespoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon of rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of hot paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 large onion (or 2 smaller ones)
  • Kitchen twine for tying the legs

Preparation:

                  
  1. Wash, clean, and dry the guinea fowl. Tie the legs with twine.
  2. Dissolve the salt in water and submerge the guinea fowl in it overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
  4. Remove the guinea fowl from the brine, dry it, and rub it with spices.
  5. Place the guinea fowl in the oven along with the chopped onion and garlic.
  6. Bake for 2 hours.
  7. Cut the sleeve (if using) and bake for another 30 minutes, basting with sauce.
  8. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before serving.
