Authorities in Moscow reported early Wednesday morning that around ten Ukrainian drones were detected over the city during the night. The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergey Sobyanin, stated on social media that it was "one of the largest attempts to attack Moscow using drones."

Many pieces of information provided by Russian media or government officials are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.

Sobyanin reported on the foreign drones over the city via the Telegram service.

"Overnight, the air defense of the Moscow region shot down ten Ukrainian drones attempting to attack the city," he wrote. The mayor assured that the drones did not cause any serious damage in Moscow. According to him, no residents were hurt either.

Drone debris also reportedly fell on the outskirts of Moscow in the city of Podolsk.

"This is one of the most massive drone attack attempts on the capital so far," Sobyanin emphasized.
