The CEO of Aeffe SpA, which owns the Italian brand, confirmed this heartbreaking news. According to the statement released on the Moschino profile, Davide Renne died due to an abrupt illness. However, the exact cause of death remains unclear.
"We are devastated and struggling to find the words to express the immense pain felt at this tragic time. Davide joined us just days ago, and his sudden passing is a harsh blow. We are struggling to come to terms with what has happened. Working on an ambitious project with Davide brought an atmosphere of positivity and hope for the future. Even though his tenure with us was brief, he was deeply admired and respected by all. We now hold the responsibility of continuing what his creativity and imagination had started. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones," declared Massimo Ferretti.
As conveyed by the New York Post, Davide Renne had held the position of creative director for Moschino since the start of November. Tragically, he passed away only a short while later. In an announcement made in mid-October, the brand revealed that Renne would succeed Jeremy Scott. Prior to joining Moschino, Renne was intricately associated with House of Gucci for over two decades. His debut collection for Moschino was planned for Milan Fashion Week in February of next year, as stated by CNN.
