Since I added this simple drink based on two ingredients and water to my daily routine, I've noticed a huge difference – I eat less between meals, have no craving for sweets, and my weight has finally started to drop. It turns out the secret lies in nature. Psyllium husk and plantain seed are a duo that effectively supports the digestive system, speeds up metabolism, and helps eliminate the feeling of constant hunger. This homemade method works better than many expensive supplements – and it takes literally a minute to prepare.

All you need is a glass of water and two tablespoons of a seed blend to create a natural cocktail that effectively supports the weight loss process. The drink not only satiates but also improves digestion and cleanses the body of toxins. Importantly, it contains no artificial additives, and its cost is just a few cents a day.

Psyllium husk, plantain seed, and water – a simple drink that works

Every morning, before having breakfast, I drink a mixture composed of lukewarm water and a combination of psyllium husk and plantain seed. It's a natural source of fiber and plant substances that support not only weight loss but also the overall functioning of the body.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of lukewarm water (not hot!),
  • 2 teaspoons of psyllium husk,
  • 2 teaspoons of plantain seed husks.

Preparation method:

  1. I put a total of four teaspoons of the mixture (two of each ingredient) into a glass.
  2. I pour lukewarm water over it.
  3. I mix it thoroughly and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture slightly swells.
  4. I drink it slowly, preferably on an empty stomach – about 30 minutes before breakfast.

I prepare this drink every morning. Occasionally, I also have it in the evening if I feel bloated or want to aid digestion after a heavy meal.

Why is it worth drinking psyllium husk and plantain seed on an empty stomach?

Regularly drinking a drink with psyllium husk and plantain seed helps me stay full for a longer time. The fiber contained in these plants swells in the stomach, creating a natural gel that effectively curbs appetite. This means fewer snacks throughout the day and no need to nibble between meals.

Psyllium husk primarily affects the digestive system – it improves bowel movement, prevents constipation, and aids in cleansing the body. Meanwhile, plantain seed is not only a source of fiber but also plant-based protein that speeds up metabolism and supports fat burning.

The drink also positively affects other aspects of health:

  • stabilizes blood sugar levels, preventing hunger pangs,
  • lowers levels of "bad" LDL cholesterol,
  • reduces bloating and improves bowel movement regularity,
  • supports natural body detoxification.

Psyllium husk, plantain seed – affordable and effective weight loss support

The mixture of psyllium husk and plantain seed is readily available in herbal stores, pharmacies, and health food markets. The cost of a kilogram is about $6–$7, and a daily portion is just 20 grams – so this homemade cocktail costs me less than 15 cents a day. Compared to expensive "fat burners" and weight loss supplements, it's a great and healthy alternative.

After a few weeks of daily consumption, I've noticed a reduced appetite and weight loss. Additionally, I've gained better well-being, a light feeling in my stomach, and more energy. Most importantly – I haven't drastically changed my diet or started intensive exercises. Consistency and one healthy change in my morning routine were enough.
