More of "The Boys" universe? Producer on the future of the series

Due to the great success of "Generation V", which takes plays in "The Boys" universe, there has been speculation about whether this world will continue to be expanded. The series producer aswer the questions about continuations.

Having its premiere in 2019 and based on the comic books of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series "The Boys" became one of the biggest hits on Amazon Prime Video. It is also one of the most appreciated productions on the long list of comic book adaptations that have flooded small and large screens in recent years.

Due to the success of the production, the first official spin-off, "The Boys Presents: Diabolical", an animated series that delves deeper into the fates of some characters or develops plots that were superficially treated in the original, was released in 2021.

At the end of last month, another chapter fitting into the world initiated by "The Boys" debuted on Amazon Prime Video. "Generation V" complements the image presented in the original and shows other aspects of the dark reality of superheroes.

Obviously, a lot of new characters appear in the series, which could successfully gain their own productions. Although this is not entirely excluded, the most important thing is the consistency of the stories told and a high artistic level.

Despite the positive reactions from viewers and critics, squeezing as much money as possible out of this lemon of ideas offered by "The Boys" world, additional spin-offs are not the most important for the creators. In an interview given to ComicBook.com, producer Pavun Shetty explained his perspective on the potential next chapters of the universe:

- We are lucky that fans have loved this series so much and are eagerly awaiting "Generation V", and also that it has many characters that new stories can be built on. [...] But I think the most important thing for us is that we are really diligent and have thought about what we will do next.

He emphasized that the most important thing is the story that the creators want to share:

- We would like to create many series, but I think viewers [...] understand when a series appears for the right reasons, because it has a real story to tell and it seems like it's the same world, but different.

Shetty assured that the possibility of creating more spin-offs is real:

- We really think about what the next series could be, how it could fit into the universe and give the impression that it is a piece of the puzzle that fits with all the others, but is not just a series for the sake of the series.

The series "Generation V" is currently available on Amazon Prime Video. The next episode is on Friday, October 13th (Eastern Time) The popular title amongst fans fills the gap as they wait for the next season of "The Boys", which has not begun filming due to a actors' strike in Hollywood.
