Are you having trouble falling asleep? Have stress levels been high lately? It might be worth exploring a method from Ayurvedic medicine that's growing in popularity. Known as moon milk, this natural drink offers an alternative to conventional sleep aids from the pharmacy.
Does moon milk really work?
Stress is a leading cause of sleep disorders among adults, often resulting in racing thoughts that hinder falling asleep. Common remedies like lemon balm aren't always effective, but moon milk, rich in tryptophan, might provide some relief. This drink is considered to be highly effective.
Based on Ayurvedic principles, moon milk combines milk with ingredients like ashwagandha, cinnamon, butter, turmeric, and butterfly pea flower.
To prepare moon milk, simply bring about 12 ounces of milk to a boil. Once it cools slightly, add butter, turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, and butterfly pea flower. Mix the ingredients, and your drink will be ready in a few minutes. It’s best to drink it an hour before going to sleep.
