A monkey allegedly kidnapped a three-year-old girl. The event took place in Guizhou province, China. The girl's parents had brought her to their workplace in the field. Suddenly the child vanished.

The incident, reported by Asia Wire, unfolded near the city of Liupanshui, in China's southwest Guizhou province. The parents, who had brought their daughter to work, set her down in the shade of a nearby tree. "It was just a minute, and when I turned around, the child was gone. We were all very anxious," recounted the girl's father.

The family sought help in a neighboring village where they reportedly viewed a surveillance video that revealed the three-year-old was abducted by a monkey. The police promptly initiated a search in the surrounding forest. Despite challenging conditions and dense vegetation, the operation proved successful.

After a little over two hours, rescuers found the child concealed in the bushes close to a cliff's edge. According to reports, the young girl was so frightened that she was unable to speak. Paramedics summoned to the scene examined the three-year-old and discovered that she had no injuries apart from minor scratches.

As per Asia Wire, the girl's father asked her if a monkey had kidnapped her following the incident, to which she silently nodded. "I asked again, 'Where did the monkey go? And the child pointed in the direction of the mountain with her finger," he said. The parents expressed profound gratitude to the responders for locating their daughter in such a brief span of time.
