She was the intern, he was the US president. The affair between former President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in 1998 sparked a major crisis in recent American history. Nowadays, Lewinsky not only advocates for victims of defamation and power abuses but also embarked on a modeling career at the age of 50.
Today, Monica Lewinsky is fighting against all forms of public ridicule. She is an activist and author who recently confronted her past again in the first episode of the documentary series "American Crime Story," and recently became the face of a campaign by the clothing brand Reformation to encourage women to vote in elections.
"Another faceless brand telling you to vote isn’t going to cut through, so they teamed up with someone iconic who would. As a changemaker and activist, Monica has been advocating for women to use their voices and embrace their power for decades," - we can read in a press release from the brand.
True to her word, Lewinsky looks like a successful woman during the photo shoot. In the photos we see her in styles ranging from a bright red two-piece suit to a leather trench - Lewinsky looks stunning. There is no trace of the shy intern. Instead, there is a tough businesswoman.
