Mitsubishi D:X Concept - I would go on a safari with it

This refers to the Mitsubishi Delica, known to us as the L300. It's an off-road minibus that many people have used to tour the world. Its modern version, showcased at the Japan Mobility Show, is even easier to manage internally thanks to its hybrid drive.

I would love to go on a safari in Africa with such a vehicle. It has a PHEV drive, so you can travel on electricity and gasoline when the former runs out. Mitsubishi D:X Concept looks like the perfect car for a traveler who does not have to limit his range. It is what the Mitsubishi Delica, L300, or Space Gear used to be. This not-very-popular car is very popular among travelers. And it's often converted into a mini camper.

It has a minivan-style body with tremendous space arrangement possibilities, but the chassis is like an off-roader with protective plates. Thanks to the four-wheel drive, Mitsubishi proposes an active, mobile lifestyle, and the reliable companion in such a life should be D:X.

Rotating seats that can be moved in any direction have been installed in the cabin, and the hood is transparent, being part of the windshield, which gives the driver the best possible visibility. Passengers communicate with the car through artificial intelligence, which suggests interesting routes. A high-quality sound system developed in collaboration with Yamaha is supposed to make the journey more enjoyable.

The ride is supposed to be stress-free thanks to high off-road capabilities and an electrically implemented four-wheel drive S-AWC. This also made it possible to make better use of the vehicle's structure for passengers. Mitsubishi did not provide any information about the range of the vehicle or the battery capacity. We also don't know the capacity of the gasoline tank. All we know is that it's a plug-in hybrid, which might be a surprise in 2023.
