Long flights can be trying, particularly for those who are sensitive to various stimuli. One passenger spent a six-hour night flight in the company of a distracting, colorfully flashing phone charger, serving as a reminder of how challenging air travel can be.

The traveller refrained from alerting the woman about the distracting lights

Small, colorful lights were embedded in the transparent charging cable, and they blinked at brief intervals. The author of the Reddit post confessed that she eventually regretted not advising the woman to switch to a regular white charger.

"I merely wore a hood and somehow endured. Being seated upright made the situation even more vexing" - lamented the passenger. Her commentary drew strong reactions from internet users.

"This is awful," "The epitome of selfishness," and "I would freak out if I had to endure a flight in this manner" are a few of the comments. "Empathy is a curse. Why was I born with the ability to consider others, when it appears that 99% of the world's population doesn't care," one user wrote. Another remarked, "I'm surprised that the cabin crew didn't ask her to turn off the charger."

Some internet users argue that flashing lights are not an issue

One user accurately pointed out that aggressive colored lights could potentially trigger an epileptic seizure. Comments suggested that if the traveler had demonstrated a bit of goodwill, she could have simply concealed the cable to avoid disturbing fellow passengers. Nevertheless, others saw no issue with the colorful glowing charger.

"If you have an issue with this, then just close your eyes. Everyone is entitled to live as they see fit" - curtly remarked another user.
