At the beginning of this year, Disney's rights to the image of Mickey Mouse expired, and it fell into the public domain. Any creator (with certain reservations) can use it from this moment. A bloody slasher "Mickey’s Mouse Trap" trailer has just appeared online.

As we remember, last year, a similar situation occurred in poor Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Characters from the children's books by A.A. Milne and Disney's animated productions had already entered the public domain earlier, resulting in a rather hideous production titled "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey".

The idea of turning iconic characters, loved by children and highly cherished by adults, into psychopaths chasing young girls in bikinis met with huge criticism from literature enthusiasts and the British national heritage community, which, of course, only helped the film achieve commercial success.

A serial killer in a Mickey Mouse costume will appear in the movie "Mickey’s Mouse Trap." Its heroine will be a young girl who, instead of celebrating her 21st birthday, has to work the evening shift at an amusement park. However, she won’t complain about boredom because a psychopath dressed as a character known from Disney cartoons will visit her. People can come up with anything.

"Mickey’s Mouse Trap" is already a finished production, but its creators cannot find a theater distributor. If they do not succeed, the slasher will likely end up on one of the streaming platforms and will scare viewers just by its presence.
