Mick Jagger will not fondly remember the last concert in Vancouver, Canada. The star of The Rolling Stones made a political comment that the audience did not receive well. He was met with loud boos.

Mick Jagger booed by the audience

The Rolling Stones concert took place in Vancouver. The band, known not only for their great musical hits but also for their controversial statements on current socio-political issues in America and other parts of the world, drew crowds to the stage as usual. However, not everything went according to plan.

This time, Mick Jagger, the vocalist of the legendary band, in addition to displaying great energy on stage through dance and singing, decided to speak about Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. His words did not please many fans, and he was loudly booed, after which he took a break.

We love your Mr Trudeau. I mean, his family has always been such big fans of our band - said the singer.

Despite the initial adverse reaction, the artists returned to the stage, and the experienced vocalist managed the situation well. When the atmosphere calmed, Jagger referred to the ongoing in our country Copa America 2024, congratulating the Canadian team for securing a spot in the semi-finals.

By the way, congratulations to the Canadian soccer team getting to the semifinals - he added.

According to reports from the Toronto Sun, Jagger's reference to Justin Trudeau was a joke. The artist referred to a 1970s photo showing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's mother, Margaret Trudeau, partying with the band. This caused a major scandal, as she was already married to then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
