The second-generation HS represents a stylistic advancement over its predecessor and is undeniably attractive. It may not blow you away with its looks, but its pleasing design is likely to appeal to many. It will also be available with a conventional combustion engine.
The range will include a plug-in hybrid featuring a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 142 HP and a 209 HP electric motor. Combined with a 24.7 kWh battery, it is expected to allow 75 miles of electric-only driving.
Additionally, the lineup will continue to offer a classic, turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 169 HP and 203 lb-ft of maximum torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic.
The new HS measures 184 inches in length and 74 inches in width and has a wheelbase of 109 inches. The trunk offers a capacity of 18 cubic feet. It's a large vehicle, slightly bigger than, for example, the Toyota RAV4. This means there will be ample space, and the equipment should not disappoint.
Inside, you'll find an 8-speaker audio system, 360-degree cameras, and a highway driving assistant. More details, including full specifications and prices, will be available soon.
