Met Gala 2024 afterparties: Where fashion icons let loose
Following the MET Gala, the renowned afterparties commenced, featuring stars in slightly more relaxed attire. Discover who stole the spotlight.
After this year's Met Gala, there were afterparties. This year, stars had to decide which parties they planned to attend. Usher hosted the "Secret Garden" event; Barry Keoghan was in charge of an event sponsored by Porsche. In turn, FKA Twigs led the "Boom Boom" party. Cardi B also ventured into organizing the bash. An equally popular "option" was a celebration in honor of Shayne Oliver and Jean Paul Gaultier. Tough choice, right?
Celebrities could opt for slightly less elegant yet equally stylish outfits this time. Emily Ratajkowski turned heads in an Alexander McQueen design for Givenchy's Spring-Summer 1998 collection. Kendall Jenner showed off in a dress by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood. Among the guests, Janelle Monáe, in a creation made of plastic eyes, and Lizzo, in a pink velvet mini, stood out notably.
The Met Gala afterparty was graced by the presence of, among others, Vittoria Ceretti, Storm Reid, Paula Coelho, Delaney Rowe, Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, Charli XCX, Imaan Hammam, SZA, Michèle Lamy, and Lana Del Rey.
