Twix-inspired creamy cheesecake recipe
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 1.96 cups of wheat flour,
- 3.7 oz powdered sugar,
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
- 6.34 oz butter.
Cheese layer:
- 28.2 oz cheesecake cottage cheese,
- 8.8 oz sugar,
- 7.05 oz 18% cream,
- 1.5 tablespoons of cornstarch,
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract,
- 4 eggs,
- 10.5 oz Twix bars,
- 1 packet of cream pudding.
Glaze:
- 7.05 oz caramel sauce,
- 2 packets of Twix bars.
Method of preparation:
Step 1. Begin the recipe with the bottom layer. Combine flour, powdered sugar, salt, and butter (cut into small pieces) in a bowl.
Step 2. Mix these ingredients until uniform dough forms. Transfer this dough to a baking tin, forming the bottom layer of the cheesecake. To avoid unnecessary bubbles during baking, prick the dough with a fork.
Bake the prepared dough in a pre-heated oven for 18 minutes at 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 3. While the base bakes, prepare the cheese layer. Start by cutting the Twix bars into small pieces.
Step 4. Next, combine cottage cheese and sugar in a separate bowl. Mix the cream and cornstarch separately before adding it to the bowl.
Step 5. Add the vanilla extract and cream pudding powder. Blend all the ingredients using a mixer. Then, gradually incorporate the eggs.
Step 6. Finally, add the chopped Twix bars to the mix. Line the baking tin with aluminum foil, then pour in the mixture, over the baked bottom layer.
This cheesecake bakes in a water bath for 80 minutes at 320 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow it to cool for an hour in the switched-off oven, then refrigerate it for 6 hours.
Step 7. Complete the dish by adorning the cheesecake with caramel sauce and additional Twix bars. Now the cheesecake is ready, so savor the exquisite taste allowed by this recipe!
