In 2017, the White House took almost three months to release the official portrait of Melania Trump. This time, just 24 hours after Donald Trump's inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, Melania presented herself in a new portrait. The photo was taken in the Yellow Oval Room, one of Melania's favorite places.

Unlike during the previous term, Melania Trump quickly declared her presence in the White House. Her portrait, taken by Régine Mahaux, appeared on the White House website right after the photos of the president and vice president. This sends a signal that Melania is ready to act in her new role.

In the new portrait, Melania appears in a Dolce & Gabbana suit, continuing her previous fashion choices. This time, however, she abstained from jewelry, which—according to the media—emphasizes her independence and self-confidence. This marks a clear departure from the style of 2017 when jewelry was more prominent.

The "Daily Mail" reports that Melania Trump expresses confidence and readiness for the challenges ahead in the portrait. She aimed to make her presence felt in the White House sooner, ensuring she was more visible from the very beginning compared to her husband's previous presidency.

A bold, confident, disciplined and always, sharply tailored boss was the Melania that the public got today and, up until now, was a woman that only those who worked closest with her were allowed to see, the publication reads.

As mentioned, a symbol of her commitment to her "new old" role is also her fashion choice, namely her appearance in the aforementioned suit. Melania seems ready to support her husband in his presidency.
