Melania Trump claims Obamas made White House move tough
In a recent interview, Melania Trump criticized the Obamas, claiming they made her move to the White House in 2017 more challenging. "The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information. The information was withheld from us by the previous administration," stated the First Lady.
Melania Trump participated in an interview with Fox News, where she discussed her plans upon returning to the White House and reflected on her previous stay in Washington, D.C. She mentioned that this time she intends to spend significantly more time at the Washington residence. Additionally, she took a jab at her predecessors, Barack and Michelle Obama.
The First Lady expects the upcoming move to be easier since she now has experience and doesn't need to rely on her predecessors. This implies that she holds some resentment towards the Obamas, whose responsibility was to provide information about the house and the transition process. In Melania's view, Barack and Michelle failed to offer them such guidance.
The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information - Melania said in an interview with Fox News. The information was withheld from us by the previous administration. But this time I have everything. I have the plans, I already packed, I have selected the furniture. So it’s a very different transition this time, the second time around.

Melania's clear resentment towards the Obamas might be linked to reports that Michelle chose to skip Trump's inauguration.
Melania's implication that Michelle and Barack did not give them a warm reception when they moved into the White House in 2017 should not come as a surprise, given the unfortunate exchange of words when the Trumps arrived at the presidential residence on Donald's inauguration day.
At that time, Melania presented Michelle with a gift – a photo frame wrapped in a Tiffany blue box – however, Michelle only gave the gift a cursory glance before passing it to Barack, who handed it to a nearby aide.
According to Melania Trump, during her husband's previous presidency, she felt that "people didn’t accept" her.
Maybe they didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now. And I didn’t have much support - she added.
In the opinion of the Slovenian, many people at that time treated her as "just a wife of the president."
But I’m standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts, I have my own, ‘yes’ and ‘no,' - she emphasized.
Melania Trump plans changes to the White House decor and intends to balance her duties as First Lady with her role as a mother and wife. She expressed hope for "an exciting four years" and emphasized that serving the country is her priority. Donald Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20.
