Founded by Meghan Markle, the As Ever brand has quickly risen in popularity within the culinary market. The brand's products sold out within just half an hour of their launch, including raspberry jam, which stirred up conversation among customers.

Although raspberry jam is one of the brand's pricier items, it received mixed reviews. A small jar of this treat costs $14. Culinary critic Jane Herz from the Femail portal ordered the jam and shared her thoughts.

Herz described the jam as having "an almost watery consistency" and likened it to "a sauce that spilled during transport." She noted that the jam ran off utensils like a sauce, making it difficult to spread on toast, which ultimately became a "soggy disaster."

Jane Herz further remarked, as quoted by the "Daily Mail," "It was difficult to eat the spread with the toast, as it was so thin that it dribbled everywhere and made a mess. Our once nicely toasted piece of bread became a sopping wet disaster after just a few minutes."

Internet users strongly divided over Meghan Markle's jam

Similar criticisms emerged in online user comments. One user on platform X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "In the picture, it looks like it's liquid! No seeds, no consistency. Just liquid, red sweet water." Another commentator added, "It looks small, expensive, thin, and not very special. I think I'll stick to my usual jam."

As noted on the brand's website, the jam, criticized by many internet users, was created from the Duchess’s homemade recipe, developed during her kitchen experiments. According to a "Daily Mail" review, the product’s consistency "makes it an absolute failure," with the review awarding it only two out of five stars. The review suggested, "The Duchess says that jam is her jam, but we're not so sure. Maybe it's sauce?"

Despite these critical remarks, the As Ever brand continues to attract significant interest, with Meghan Markle's products quickly disappearing from shelves.
