Meghan Markle trades her royal crown for a coffee cup in surprise advertising role
Meghan Markle has had various roles throughout her career, starting with her role as a television host and actress. She even briefly occupied the role of a duchess for the royal court. As we know, she was not fond of this role and, alongside Harry, seized the first opportunity to step away from their royal duties and relocated to the USA. What may come as a surprise to many is that Meghan has been a shareholder in a coffee-producing company for several years. This came to light after Markle appeared in the company's newest advertisement.

In the ad for Clevr Blends that was launched on Instagram, Meghan Markle takes on the role of an intern, arranging boxes, preparing hot beverages, and working on a computer. Could she be a woman of many talents?
A Closer Look at Meghan Markle's Coffee Business
Markle disclosed that she invested an undisclosed sum in the Clevr Blends brand in December 2020. Around that period, the former royal used her Hollywood connections to market the coffee, even gifting Oprah Winfrey (her neighbour) a basket of her products. Markle has kept her investment in the company under wraps for the past three years. It was only at the start of this year that a video of her visit to the company surfaced online.
In 2019, Meghan expressed that her investment aimed at "supporting a passionate woman entrepreneur who prioritizes community alongside her company". She was referring to the brand's founder, Hannah Mendoza, who had once been a secondary actress on American cable television.
Mendoza confirmed Meghan's financial backing and expressed her appreciation by saying, "Entrepreneurs need funding, but they also need advisors who care about what they're building. I am grateful to have found both in the Duchess of Sussex."
Meghan Markle Returns to the Screen
Internet users quickly recognized Markle in the short ad promoting Clevr Coffee. It's clear that Prince Harry's wife doesn't just appear in the ad out of boredom, but rather to promote the brand. It seems she's missed the camera. Even though her role wasn't too demanding, she tackled it with great enthusiasm.
Netizen responses have been a mixed bag, with a fair share of sarcasm.
"A multitasking queen," "Demoted to working in a coffee warehouse, that's sad," "Pathetic, she thinks she's funny and her fans can relate to her,", and "From palace to this." are some of the responses out there.
So, how do you rate her first appearance in a long time?
