Meghan Markle is venturing into entrepreneurship with the launch of her luxury brand, American Riviera Orchard, which will feature an array of products, including fruit preserves. According to reports from international media, 50 jars of strawberry jam have been distributed to some of the most influential figures in the United States as part of the brand's promotional campaign.

The actress and wife of Prince Harry announced the initiation of her new venture in March on the X platform. American Riviera Orchard, her company, plans to offer various products like jams, marmalades, bread spreads, plates, and kitchen aprons. Markle is also set to host her cooking show on Netflix, further expanding her influence in the culinary field.

Promoting her brand with jars of jam

In a unique promotional move, Meghan Markle has sent limited edition jars of strawberry jam to some of America's key influencers to spotlight her new brand. "The Independent," a British newspaper, detailed that each jar was individually numbered by hand, allowing recipients to share their exclusive gifts on social media.

Fashion designer Tracy Robbins, who received jar number 17, shared her appreciation on Instagram, thanking Markle and complimenting the jam's flavor.

Aimed at establishing itself as a luxury brand, American Riviera Orchard's logo takes inspiration from a royal crest, featuring the word "Montecito" below it – the Sussexes' residential community. Information about the brand's offerings is scarce on the American Riviera Orchard website and social media platforms. However, the United States Patent and Trademark Office website lists the brand's registration for selling downloadable cookbooks, printed materials, tableware, textiles, food items like jams and marmalades, and more. The trademark registrations indicate plans to expand into cosmetics, perfume, stationery, wallpapers, yoga accessories, and gardening tools.

Netflix show and beyond

As reported by the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle is set to host a culinary show on Netflix where she will explore the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and nurturing friendships while promoting her brand's products. She is not stopping there, with plans to publish a cookbook and revive her lifestyle blog, "The Tig," where she used to share her culinary experiences and restaurant reviews before her marriage to Prince Harry.
