Various British portals and glossy magazines frequently report about issues in the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. An expert on royal families explains why the Sussexes, even if they desired, might not separate.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are often not depicted as an ideal or harmonious couple. The American actress is usually accused of negatively influencing her husband's relationship with his royal family, allegedly leading to their joint decision to step back from their royal duties and move overseas. The British monarch has repeatedly offered his son an opportunity to reconcile, but Harry has consistently refused, denying Charles a meeting multiple times.

Despite his clear resentment towards his father and elder brother, and his expressed relief at no longer needing to adhere to court etiquette after over 30 years, Harry reportedly misses his prior life and socializing with friends. Harry, the Duke of Sussex, seems to be struggling to assimilate with American life. The partners' differing goals and the absence of a shared vision for their relationship often leads to friction between them.

Could money be more crucial than love? A separation might not benefit Harry and Meghan

Increasing speculation about the diverging journeys of the 39-year-old prince and the "Suits" star is undermining the perceived stability of their marriage and casting doubts over their supposed resilience. A potential separation would harm their public image and subsequently affect their financial prospects.

"Harry and Meghan make a lucrative team, and their joint ventures have the potential to continue bringing in substantial income for their family," asserts Louella Alderson, a royal family expert.

A separation could potentially jeopardize the actress's ambition to establish herself in the Hollywood market. After Spotify ended its contract, Markle is reportedly finalizing a multi-million dollar contract with a podcast producer connected to Amazon. The spectre of divorce could be a substantial setback in this regard.

"It's common for celebrities to maintain a united front in the public eye, as we have seen recently with Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith and Meryl Streep and Don Gummer. They may choose to present themselves as a strong and happy couple, even if they've actually been living separate lives for years," added the expert.

The question remains, would they allow such a significant amount of potential income to slip through their fingers?
